BRACKISH WATER DESALINATION SYSTEMS-FARMS.
Brackish Bore Water Desalination has and will continue to play a critical role in improving water quality and water supplies in many parts of Australia.
Many Farms and Businesses may have access to a supply of water from a bore; however, this water may be too high in salt. Desalination of this water is an option to consider, in order to utilise their water resources most effectively.
Salt is one of the hardest things to remove from water and the more salt that is present, the more energy that is required to remove it. There are a number of technologies (electrical, thermal or membrane based) available for removing the salt from brackish water to produce fresh water. Of these technologies, membrane based methods like reverse osmosis require the least power so are the most cost effective.
